Course Overview -- Ubuntu 10.04 LTS release version

Get ahead of the crowd, gain the skills and essential knowledge to deploy and manage Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud (UEC) in your enterprise. Instructor demonstrations and hands-on activities will lead you through the installation, configuration, and show you how to use management tools. The Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud course is ideally suited to Ubuntu Certified Professionals (or equivalent) who already have basic Linux system administration experience.

About online training

Gain essential skills without spending time and money travelling to a classroom environment. Our four-day online course provides students with 16 hours of expert training. Ubuntu Certified Instructors teach students over the Internet via our integrated VoIP facility and virtual machine technology. Students log in to Canonical online lab environments at specific class times so they can see, hear and interact with their instructor and fellow students, and complete lab exercises in real time.

All participants need is:
  • A sound command of the English language
  • A high-speed Internet connection, minimum 2MB per second

  • Adobe Flash
  • A sound card and speakers or a headset
  • A land line and telephone (backup for VoIP)
  • A connected web cam – highly recommended
  • A working microphone – highly recommended

  • A monitor – minimum resolution of 1024x768 and minimum 16-bit colour
  • A quiet environment for the duration of the class

Note: Enrolment on all virtual courses should be completed no later thanseven business days from the course commencement date.

Each course consists of 16 hours of tuition over 4 days.
